“Pell...”

The falcon didn’t even have to open his eyes to see who was trying to wake him up, the cold nose against his neck was the only hint he needed.

“Chaka, it’s the middle of the night,” he growled sleepily.

“Sorry...” It would have been much more sincere without the large hand clawing at the front of his nightshirt, the husky voice practically dripping with lust,“but I can’t sleep.”

“So why must you wake me up cause you’re in heat?” Pell was getting more irritated by the moment as he finally opened his eyes, glaring at his fellow guardian. He didn’t blame Chaka’s baser instincts from kicking in like this during mating season, but he really just wanted to sleep! “Why can’t you go bother someone else?”

“Jackals are monogamous you know.” The larger man frowned, doing a pretty good impression of a giant sad puppy. “And besides, I don’t want to mate with anyone other then you.”

Pell sighed, how was he suppose to say no to that face and those words?

“Alright you win.” He pulled Chaka towards him, pressing his lips to the jackal as he whispered playfully “Bad dog...”
